I really loved this week. They provided a great mix of practical and theoretical work, plus they organized evening activities to keep us entertained. They also made sure my accommodation was near the yoga training center, so I could easily walk there. I definitely recommend it.

Instructors like Sharash embody everything a yoga practitioner should be. They’re simply inspiring. Eddie and Tania, the organizers, are always there to kindly respond to every need. This kind of investment in oneself is priceless – you can’t buy it with money.

I participated in a 200H Yoga Teacher Training program that went above and beyond my expectations. This amazing experience helped me dive deeper into the world of yoga, expanding my understanding of not just physical asanas but also spirituality and other aspects of yoga.

The instructors were knowledgeable, kind, and passionate. With their support, our group created a safe space for personal growth, self-discovery, and sharing. Everything was well organized – highly recommend it! ❤️

I’m so happy I chose ULU Yoga. Everything was just perfect, from the course to the food. What I loved the most was that our group was small. It made it easy to chat and make friends without feeling like we were just part of a big crowd. The teachers were welcoming and knowledgeable, so I felt like I was in good hands. I learned a lot about yoga, the lifestyle, and even about myself. My time at ULU Yoga in Uluwatu was amazing, and I’m grateful for the wonderful experience!

I loved everything! I really wish I had signed up for 21 days instead of 14! Uluyoga really nailed it when it comes to creating the perfect learning environment. The teachers are friendly and easy to approach, the admin staff is caring and on top of things. The classes were organized in a way that helped us gain confidence in teaching, even if we had never done it before. I couldn’t wait for classes each day, especially with my awesome new friends by my side.

I stayed at One Degree Sunset Hill, which is located on the main road, so it could get noisy at night. Just a heads up for light sleepers! But overall, the place was nice and clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff was really nice and helpful. Unfortunately, there was no fridge in the room.

I rated it a 5, although the room was more of a 4/5 in terms of quality and price. I did my 200-hour YTT with Uluyoga in Bali. All of the teachers were amazing!

It’s the perfect blend of authentic yoga with caring and humble individuals. In Bali, close to the beaches, it’s an ideal environment. If you’re looking for a well-organized school that offers a great balance of different teachers’ energies and knowledge, this is the place for you. You get a taste of various yoga styles, which helps you discover what you prefer.

The included breakfast was delicious, with sweet and savory options. The shala is peaceful and conveniently located, with many good restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. A big thank you to the ULU yoga team! Héloïse was our leader teacher and she was amazing. Her energy was infectious, and her knowledge of chakras was enlightening. Manjeet, the philosophy teacher, had a perfect mix of traditional Indian knowledge and modern wisdom. Salome taught us Ashtanga with a traditional approach, Eddie with Arial yoga, Lloyd and Flo with acro yoga, and Krystal with flowy vinyasa – they were all great. Tania, the coordinator, was so helpful and caring!

I highly recommend this school for an enriching yoga experience.

Honestly, I loved everything about my experience. The organization, food, teachers, and class schedule were all fantastic. It was truly life changing. As someone new to the yoga world, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I enjoyed every class. The teachers were all amazing and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed and appreciated. Our group of students became like family. We shared laughs, tears, and experiences, practiced meditation and yoga together, and even enjoyed meals and massages as a group. It was an unforgettable, transformative experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to grow and learn so much. I now have the tools to navigate life’s challenges and enjoy the beautiful moments ahead.

I got a little bored in Uluwatu but I loved my training here. I did the 3-week 200-hour advanced course – I loved that it was a hybrid program to give some flexibility. I thought it was an excellent all-encompassing program that gave an intro to many different styles of yoga. Most of the instructors were great! If this program was in Ubud, I think it would have been fantastic.

Well….Bali can be unpredictable at times. But if you keep an open mindset and are willing to roll with the changes in the schedule, you’ll be just fine. The team did a great job handling any issues that popped up, like construction noise at the venue.

If you have the chance, I suggest going for the premium package for hotel rooms onsite with the shala. Trust me, it’s worth it. The content and learning format were top-notch. The online videos really complemented the in-person program well.

The instructors were genuine, kind, and very knowledgeable. We got to try out a bunch of different yoga styles and it was a blast. I always felt taken care of and safe during the training. If you’re looking for an authentic teacher training experience, I highly recommend Ulu Yoga.

We loved using the swing that Ulu created because it’s really easy to use. It was a happy experience for us. I guess I’ll just have to adapt what I learned on it to the more regular swings we have in my country. The Aerial Teacher Training at ULU yoga was amazing. Eddie did a fantastic job of keeping everything organized and flowing smoothly from start to finish. Bamboo, the space where we were hosted, was lovely. The shala was charming, the staff was kind, and the food was delicious.

The days were structured really well, with a good mix of theory, practice, and rest time. Minty was an incredible teacher, very knowledgeable and warm. Heloise was great, and Lloyd explained Anatomy really well. Eddie’s morning aerial flow was the best. There were 12 of us in the group, half of whom were yoga teachers and some were new to aerial yoga. The course was adaptable to each level, which was great.

We all felt grateful for the experience and we instantly became close to each other. We stayed at Taman Sari, which was also great.

I found the yoga teacher training and community at Ulu Yoga to be a blessing. Eddie and the team provided unwavering support from day one, which only grew stronger as I needed it. Dealing with health issues during training was tough, but everyone at Ulu Yoga rallied around me and I never missed a class. The personal growth I experienced while facing health challenges was unforgettable. The non-judgmental support and uplifting atmosphere at Ulu Yoga made all the difference. The empowerment I felt around the clock boosted my confidence and allowed me to evolve as an instructor. Ulu Yoga’s high standards and top-notch training produce the best yoga instructors in the world. I will always be grateful for the love, support, and caring I received at Ulu Yoga and will carry those qualities into my teaching. I appreciate Eddie’s creation of the aerial yoga swing, which has made practicing at home so much easier. The wonderful people at Ulu Yoga will always have a place in my heart, and I hope to see more lives transformed in the same way mine was.

The 3D accommodation was the only thing that wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t cleaned as often and there were a couple of times when we didn’t have any water. Some people might have had a problem with that, but I wasn’t bothered at all. It was all part of the experience and I embraced it, living like a native. I loved it anyway and would stay there again. From the beginning, the girls communicated with me brilliantly in the emails, giving me all the support I needed to feel safe and confident about the course. The online classes were so inspiring and exciting, I’ve never enjoyed studying so much in my life. I love all the teachers, but Manjeet was my favorite. His wisdom and energy came through the screen, helping me understand Yoga philosophy and the benefits of Pranayama and training our minds. Cody’s Anatomy classes were also very interesting, his dynamic teaching style made it easier to understand. Choosing between Thailand and Indonesia for the in-person part was tough, but my heart and intuition chose Bali. It turned out to be a decision I am grateful for. Uluwatu is an amazing town, with incredible energy, beaches, and restaurants. Everyone I met at our Shala has a special place in my heart, from my classmates to the teachers to all the staff at Le Bamboo. They created a supportive community where we not only learned new skills but also learned to connect and love ourselves better. The different activities in Ulu helped us build confidence as teachers and be creative and intuitive in our classes. I am truly grateful for finding this course and having this experience.

The original shala had only 1 toilet, but the ULU program was fantastic. They covered theory, yoga history, vinyasa, hatha, yin, acro and aerial yoga. The teachers were knowledgeable, engaging, and all-around great humans, which made learning a breeze. The mix of students from around the world, various yoga backgrounds, and ages made the 3 weeks enjoyable and led to some great friendships. The new ULU shala has stunning views and is well-appointed. Being able to choose accommodation and source meals yourself was a real plus. I stayed at the Hidden Hills Villas, which were stunning and a short walk to both ULU Shalas.

This training truly transformed me, leaving me inspired, knowledgeable, and with amazing lifelong friends. One standout aspect was the daily asana labs where we practiced teaching and refining our cues for different poses. It was so valuable to have that hands-on experience every day. I also appreciated being able to do some study online at my own pace before joining the in-person sessions. The teachers were incredible, sharing their vast knowledge and passion for yoga in a nurturing environment. The shala was amazing, with air conditioning and stunning ocean views for sunset watching. This experience wasn’t just about poses; it taught me about self-discovery, connection, and the power to inspire positive change. Here are a few things I think I should mention:
    1. The hotels are very basic, nothing fancy so you should manage your expectations on accommodation.
    2. Due to two classes going on at the same time, there were some communication and coordination issues, but it’s understandable. It was my first yoga teacher training and my first time in Bali – the three-week experience was absolutely amazing!
It was more than just learning yoga and training as a yoga teacher – I’m truly grateful for everything I learned there. I learned about self-love, being brave, staying humble, and so much more. I highly recommend it for the following reasons:
    1. Ulu Yoga offers a variety of interesting non-traditional yoga courses, such as aerial, acro, beach, and SUP. As an aerial yoga lover, I had so much fun with Ulu’s unique hammock!
    2. The teachers are lovely, caring, and knowledgeable with diverse backgrounds. The classmates are from all over the world, which makes everyday a learning experience about new cultures and life stories.
    3. I attended the training in Uluwatu, which is a less touristy area near the beach with many good restaurants and cafes.
    4. Materials provided include a textbook on site and an online learning platform that was very helpful. You have access to it for about a year to revisit as needed.

I didn’t like that they didn’t tell us in advance that we would lose a whole day of on-site training due to the day of silence. When we arrived and found out, I was wondering why we were still paying the same price. But most of the teachers were absolutely amazing and made the whole experience incredible. I learned a lot both in terms of teaching and self discovery. And I really enjoyed learning acro too!

I had a great experience with the teacher training itself! Walking in Uluwatu isn’t the best since there aren’t many walkways and most people opt for taxis or scooters. However, it was still possible to walk to the beach. Despite a lot of construction going on, we didn’t hear any noise at the Shala where we did yoga and were able to relax perfectly. The teachers were kind, experienced, and gave clear instructions. They were always available to help and had a wealth of knowledge to share. I really enjoyed trying out Aerial, SUP, and Acroyoga – it was fun to explore different styles.

The delicious breakfast and long lunch break were great for preparing for teaching exams and relaxing by the pool before afternoon classes. The ULUyoga team took care of everything, even organizing our stay and providing reliable taxi numbers. The online hours were well-structured and the videos were high-quality. Plus, you still have access to the videos after the course.

If I had more vacation days, I would have loved to stay longer and do the 300hrs right away. Hopefully, I can return to Bali in the future for another course with ULUyoga.

I really loved the location of the training and how the teachers made everyone comfortable. I had been practicing yoga for a few years, but I learned so much more and deepened my practice more than I could have imagined. I had some medical emergencies that had nothing to do with yoga or Ulu Yoga, but they supported me through the whole journey. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish the course there, but we easily found a solution and I’m really enjoying the online course. The communication has always been clear and friendly. The teachers teach with passion, keeping it very interesting and interactive. The space was always clean, breakfast was delicious, and I have no complaints at all. Thank you for everything, and I can’t wait for my next YTT with Ulu Yoga!

Sometimes the mat isn’t that clean, so I think I’ll bring my own next time. The examination seems too long; maybe 60 minutes would be better for beginners. I really love the teaching vibe and environment here. Doing yoga in a bamboo shala with teachers from different backgrounds is great. I learn a lot every day, both physically and philosophically. The interaction in class, like the sharing circle and all the activities, is my favorite part. The sup yoga and acro yoga are amazing too! I never expected to experience so much here. Some of the lessons were recorded from zoom and the quality was not great in some of them. I loved how the teachers were very open and available if I needed them. It was a very emotional ride and I felt safe with the teachers, group, and surroundings. Doing yoga in the Le Bamboo Shala with a view towards the ocean, surrounded by green gigantic plants was amazing. I learned so many new things about yoga and myself! I loved it all! Wow, where do I even start? The Ulu 21-day 200hr YTT in Uluwatu was just incredible! I signed up to do yoga & learn more about yogi philosophy, and I came away with a genuinely transformational life experience. Plus, I had the pleasure of meeting some beautiful people I will cherish forever!

Some key highlights for me were:
    1) The online content – being able to access online classes before, during, and after the 21-day part was great. It helped me build a strong foundation of knowledge and will be useful for recapping bits after as well.
    2) The teachers – I am so grateful to all the teachers for everything they taught us on and off the mat, their support, and their amazing energy <3
    3) The timetable - there was a good balance of physical asana practice, classroom learning, and downtime to relax, self-study, process, and explore.
    4) The mix of yoga - it was fantastic to have a focus on vinyasa & Hatha with Ariel, acro, and yin alongside. I loved them all!
    5) The venue - Le bamboo was perfect! It's a beautiful bohemian resort set on a hillside with ocean views, an infinity pool, fantastic staff, and delicious food. The shala had everything we needed and lovely nature views. We even got to try out the new Ulu shala - so spacious and calm, perfect for Ariel and acro.
    6) The organization - Eddie & his team ran the program seamlessly. Communication before, during, and after was great, and they were so helpful and accommodating.

I'm so grateful for this experience and can't recommend Ulu YTT enough!

I didn’t really have any complaints, everything was great. Huge thanks to ULU Yoga for the amazing time I had during my on-site Training in Uluwatu, Bali. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I’m so grateful for all the laughs, tears, and insights we shared. In just two weeks, I learned so much! Not only did I learn how to design classes and teach others, but I also gained a deeper understanding of myself and my own practice. My favorite parts were the spa trip one night and getting to try out different yoga styles like acro, aerial, yin, and SUP yoga. Now that I’ve completed the training, I feel ready to teach vinyasa and hatha yoga classes and motivated to continue my spiritual journey. Thanks again for such an incredible experience!

By the way, the breakfast was amazing. So many options to choose from, and I discovered my love for smoothie bowls. 😀

I also want to mention that the shala has a new and beautiful view of the sea. Plus, the shala does a great job of canceling out noise, which is helpful since there’s a lot of construction noise in the area right now (July 2023).

I’m not booking this teacher training again, sorry. This wasn’t my first YTT, but by far the “least Yogi” one. I felt like the owners were just trying to make money off of us since Koh Phangan is such a touristy island. We barely did any meditation, didn’t learn about Yoga philosophy or spirituality, and didn’t cover any anatomy. We only had one Acro session and one SUB Yoga session. Breakfast was included, but it wasn’t enough to keep us energized. Some participants were total beginners, while others had already completed their 200h or 300h training. It left the group feeling frustrated when we went over basic anatomy and philosophy again.

The teachers were great – friendly and knowledgeable. I’d definitely take another class with them, but this training just didn’t cut it for me.

I didn’t really have any complaints, I was happy all the time. Some last-minute changes in organization happened, but I didn’t mind at all. That’s just life!

The last shala, Le Bamboo, was kind of small and hot, but considering the amazing shalas we had before, it was still great. This teacher training was absolutely amazing. We had 5 different teachers, each inspiring, wise, and generous in their own way. They gave us tools and words that will stick with us as yoga teachers and human beings. I feel so grateful to have met them and learned from their stories.

We got to experience a different shala every week, which was a nice way to mix things up. The teachers and organizers were always there to help and solve any issues that came up. It felt like a safe space to grow, explore, and remember our purpose.

I originally came here to escape winter and deepen my yoga practice, but I ended up getting so much more. I found deep understanding, support, and made wonderful connections with teachers and fellow students. Thank you all for your love and presence!

With the various yoga styles, some of which are very creative or innovative, combined with a glimpse into the depths of yoga philosophy and spirituality in relation to yoga, you get a whole new perspective. Any perfectionists out there who still want to criticize something great here should definitely work on their Shavasana!

It would be nice to have another day off to enjoy some free time activities with Organizer. The resort staff was too slow for the breakfast we had scheduled. Even after I said something, the service didn’t improve. It would have been great to have some little extras like discounts at the restaurant, laundry services, or scooters, but that wasn’t really an option. The variety of yoga styles, anatomy lessons, teachers, location, teaching exercises, stand-up paddleboarding, and participants were all highlights of the experience.

This course definitely focused on having fun rather than just becoming a certified yoga teacher. Some may love that, while others may not. Personally, I wish the analytics classes were more structured since many of us were inexperienced and struggled with proper alignment.
Despite that, I really enjoyed the caring teachers and the venue, although the traffic noise at night was bothersome.
Overall, I highly recommend this course – it was one of the best times of my life! Heloise was an amazing teacher, the Shala was beautiful, and the whole team took great care of us. We had exciting Areal and Acro classes, practiced at the beach, and even tried the SUB board.

The resort was beautiful, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. The only thing I felt could have been improved was the breakfasts we were served. They didn’t fill me up, so I usually ordered a second dish. The quality of the food provided compared to what we bought was different. The purchased food was better in terms of quantity, taste, and care put into making it. But overall, I have no other critiques.

Cody and Shashi are amazing people who created a safe space for self-exploration and vulnerability. I felt heard, seen, and loved during my 3 weeks in Koh PhaNgan. Their knowledge was inspiring and impactful, shaping how I want to live my life. It was both a personal and spiritual journey with those around me. My confidence as a teacher has soared thanks to this experience.

The course provided a safe space to release any and all emotions. I’m grateful for investing this time in myself.

The booking process at Ulu Yoga was straightforward. Saghar was on the other line with me, helping with all my queries – from ferries and transportation to getting to the resort, to online questions I didn’t understand. She replied quickly and was really helpful and friendly.

Before going to Thailand, I did some online studies. The videos were easy to understand. I loved the philosophy and grasped it well just by watching the videos.

When I arrived in Thailand, the resort employees had a friendly vibe that made me feel completely welcomed. The room was okay, but I should have gone for the room with air conditioning since the weather was super hot and humid. However, I persevered.

The instructors, Cody and Lena, were super nice, chill, and great people. They made us feel welcomed, and their teaching style was excellent for both beginners and advanced yoga students. Cody’s explanation of the philosophy was relatable and helped me understand it well. Lena was a calm teacher with a soothing voice that made me aspire to be a great teacher like her.

Overall, Ulu Yoga changed me for the better. It took me a while to write this review because reminiscing about my experience makes me want to go back. I miss the vibe and the people. I will definitely choose Ulu Yoga for my next course.

Thank you, Ulu Yoga. Much love ❤️.

I felt very comfortable at the venue, partly thanks to the teachers (Cody, Lena, and Elif), and of course, thanks to Saghar. They are all very compassionate, sweet, and qualified. My experience was really good and I would definitely do my 300 hours here too.

I really appreciate how they allow us to engage with other students, like practicing teaching with them and getting familiar with the sequence before the actual teaching practice. The instructors also provide constructive feedback regularly, letting us know our strengths, areas for improvement, and giving suggestions for better approaches. It was a well-rounded experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m so grateful for it!

In Canada, the time difference made it hard for me to attend in-person yoga practice through zoom. Luckily, I was given access to recorded classes so I could still join in from home on my own time. Ulu Yoga has put together a comprehensive program covering philosophy, anatomy, pranayamas, meditations, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin yoga, and Asana analytics. Each teacher brings a wealth of knowledge to their instructions. The Ulu Yoga team is incredibly kind and supportive of their students. This program will definitely help you grow your yoga practice and lay a solid foundation for becoming a yoga teacher.

I love the flexibility of doing the course at my own pace from home. Some of my favorite parts have been practicing yoga with Janaina and listening to her beautiful voice singing mantras. I’ve enjoyed learning challenging asanas and anatomy from Cody. Kehkashan’s classes have gone deep into analyzing asanas with variations and the use of props. Manjeet and Dr. Kalpana have taught me the fundamentals of yoga, pranayama, and meditation, helping me connect with myself and find inner peace in so many positive ways. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Ulu Yoga during my search for a 200hr yoga teacher training.

I learned a lot even though I already had a background in Biology and previous YTT. The topics were explained clearly and it was easy to follow along. The course was well-structured with basic anatomy and functional anatomy sections. I only didn’t like that I couldn’t do the training in person due to covid. At first, I was hesitant about taking on a big 300-hour training online, but I ended up giving it a shot because of the circumstances. Thank goodness I went with ULU Yoga; right from the start, they provided a warm and welcoming community with the opportunity to join live lessons and teaching practices every week. These sessions were the best part, so make sure you don’t miss out on them!

All the teachers were experts and added their own unique personalities to their teachings, which was fantastic. It was a great chance to learn from the best. The training was well-organized and progressed in a logical way; I never felt overwhelmed throughout the course.

The best part of doing the training online was being able to go at my own pace. The training urged me to be self-critical and helped me grow and see things from a new perspective. The ULU support team was always there for me at a moment’s notice.

I can’t stress enough how great this training is – I highly recommend joining the live lessons and teaching practice sessions; they are the real gems of the course. And most importantly, remember to enjoy the journey.

I have dreamt of learning yoga with this school for a long time. Two of my friends took the course and loved it, and finally, thanks to online learning, I was able to join too. I met daily with all the instructors in live classes, and the benefit of online learning was being able to record classes to watch again and review. Instead of just relying on my poor note-taking skills in a classroom, I had the opportunity to rewatch and learn at my own pace.

We also had private study groups with other students, which allowed me to form connections and make friends from around the world – something I was worried about missing out on. The traditional yoga instruction was very detailed and organized, and Salomé, the incredible instructor and practitioner, made the philosophy come alive. The format of assigned readings, questions, and follow-up discussions helped me understand yoga philosophy clearly after years of trying.

A real treat was getting to see Bali in the videos, which gave me huge motivation to travel there and take the course in person next year. I also had the opportunity to practice teaching on Zoom with members of the course and even taught my mother while stuck at home. Recording myself teaching and receiving feedback from the instructors was a great learning tool – watching myself was hard at first, but the best way to improve.

I now feel confident to teach and help others, and I am grateful and happy with everything I have learned.

I am so grateful to my teachers for all the love and thanks I have to express. The yoga class was just what I needed – they paired me with two advanced students, so I learned much faster than I expected. It’s clear how much thought and detail went into organizing everything, which I appreciate as a project manager. From greeting guests to scoring tests, every detail was carefully considered. The instructors led the poses while we worked in pairs or groups, and there were plenty of breaks and guided activities, like beach and spa excursions, to keep us balanced. The staff went above and beyond, spending time with us outside of class and organizing outings. The 24/7 hands-on group coordinator was a fantastic idea that kept us united and motivated. I can’t wait to come back for the 300 hour course later this year. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This retreat was probably the best time of my life. We did yoga practice, learned philosophy and anatomy, and meditated all day from waking up to falling asleep. I was so thankful for all the little tips and encouragement, like the one about keeping silence until after breakfast to honor the sacred morning time. A big thanks to all the instructors for listening to us during our personal interviews on arrival, asking about our health and background. It was the first time in forever that anyone cared about my real feelings and thoughts. It was strange at first because I didn’t even know how to express them. Then, we had group meetings with all the students to share our feedback and experiences. It was a very touching memory that I miss very much now. My body has healed from years of weakness, and my alignment has been corrected, fixing many errors in my practice that I never knew existed. I am so grateful for the opportunity to practice teaching yoga and now have the confidence to continue deepening my skills.

I was able to walk to two beaches every day, and the little beach at the resort was perfect for private suntanning 😉 Haad Yao Beach was huge and filled with cool cafes, massage places, and it was all so cheap! Secret Beach was so calm and tranquil. There were only two restaurants, but both were excellent and gave off a cozy vibe. I was surprised and impressed that the teachers gave each student a private interview to assess our health, experience, and course expectations. Throughout the week, we had group sharing circles to express our feelings. The instructors welcomed and embraced any suggestions we made. I was worried that the Ariel acro yoga would be too challenging, as I had only tried regular and Vinyasa yoga before. However, the regular yoga classes were the best I had ever experienced. This course provided the perfect escape in a pristine natural environment, along with a valuable learning experience that was exactly what I needed. The instructors were kind and encouraged me to rest when necessary. In the afternoon, the resort treated us to free coconuts and a special electrolyte mix, which may have seemed odd but was surprisingly invigorating. The breakfast was decent, but the lunch was excellent. I indulged in traditional Thai dishes like pad Thai and green curry from the regular menu. I attempted to eat at cheaper restaurants nearby, but the quality didn’t compare to the resort. So, two other students and I decided to sign up for a cooking class there, which turned out to be a blast. Each day offered a variety of classes, from relaxing sup and regular yoga to more serious subjects like philosophy and anatomy. The instructors took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer all of our questions. I developed a strong bond with the other students, teachers, and staff throughout the course. First of all, the staff responded quickly to my email and sent study material before my arrival. When I arrived, I felt like I already knew the instructors and had a good grasp on the basics of breathing and foundational poses. It was great because all the other students had done the same, so we had common ground to discuss and share our progress.

I was worried that the training wouldn’t be serious because of the variety of styles offered. However, the schedule struck a perfect balance between fun and serious study. If someone wasn’t as interested in teaching and wanted to skip certain things, they could opt for sup or beach yoga instead. Even these classes were structured in a methodical way.

Life changing beyond expectation and the best time ever are the words that come to mind. This experience completely changed my life, values, and friendships. I know when I go home, I won’t be the same person and will need to cut many negative relationships. Thank you dearly to my spiritual guide Shashi for opening my path. Thank you Victoria for your radiant laughter and positivity. Thank you Alon for your incredible knowledge of traditional yoga and self-respect. Thank you Edward for sharing the gift of flying.
There was a wide variety of classes and we were able to get feedback and make some changes based on how the group was feeling. I felt shy at first to express my opinion, but the instructors sincerely welcomed anything they could do. There are two yoga spaces – one with an ocean view and another by the pool, which was nice because it had mirrors. It was so nice they let me take a mat and some blocks to practice on my balcony. Sometimes it was so hot I was sweating like in a Bikram class, but the studio had big fans blasting the whole time, and after releasing so many toxins, I was sweating much less. Overall, the level of instruction had a great depth and variety, and the location was heavenly.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Thailand and the quality of the course exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was surrounded by green gardens with ocean views, and the teachers and staff were very friendly. The breakfast every day was varied and healthy. Balancing on a paddleboard with sup yoga was tough, but the instructors were very attentive and supportive. We visited different beaches almost every day in our free time, enjoying the incredible views as we drove around the hilly roads. I learned to love waking up at 6 AM to do yoga in the beautiful shala overlooking the sea, and at night, I could hear the waves and feel the ocean breeze in my bed. Everything at the yoga retreat was wonderful, but getting there can be tough if you don’t plan ahead. I was a bit nervous to join since I’m not a slim yogi, but I was relieved to find that each class had options for beginners like me as well as more advanced options for others. What I liked most was their focus on detail and safety. They always made sure to point out potential risks and benefits of each pose, whether it was traditional yoga, aerial, or sup, instead of just telling us how to do them.

It seemed like they had tons of experience, since they offer so many courses each year. Some students who had done 200 trainings before even said this course was far better than others they had taken, even regretting spending money on cheaper training in India.

I may not end up teaching yoga professionally, but I definitely feel confident enough to lead my friends and family through a practice. The island, resort, and yoga studio were all gorgeous. The only downside was the staff at the resort, so I ended up switching to a nearby hotel. The rooms were just as nice and cost the same, so I’d recommend staying at High Life Resort or Haad Son Resort at Secret Beach instead.

They made me deeply reconsider what I’m doing with my life and career. My job is fun and people enjoy it…but I guess it’s pretty shallow in the grand scheme of things. The program offers a variety of options that cater to different skill levels. From fun challenges for athletic types to skillful steps for beginners to achieve advanced poses, there is something for everyone. The restorative and sup yoga sessions with Ria provided a great balance.

There are also fun acro and aerial sessions on the beach, perfect for capturing awesome Instagram pics. Surprisingly, even the regular yoga classes were enjoyable, thanks to detailed instructions on alignment. Shashi’s philosophy is intense and deep, yet simple to understand.

The shala is beautiful, surrounded by birds and trees, but the dining area could use a little love. Some found the resort staff to be a bit rude, but that’s just the honest, no-kiss-ass Thai style. It’s real people expressing real feelings.

The highlight for me was swimming at sunset with all my new friends. It was a truly unforgettable experience.

I can’t wait to return next year. The instructors had great technical knowledge to assist us. The best part was the SUP Yoga. It was intense but not too difficult for anyone. The location is stunning. The food was delicious but the restaurant could use some decoration. I loved it overall and highly recommend it to everyone.

This experience has awakened and transformed me! I decided to join because I thought it looked fun, especially the Acro Yoga and SUP Yoga. But I was amazed by the depth of philosophy. It really opened my mind to see my true self. The restorative aerial yoga even cured my back pain that I’ve had since I was 14 years old. Koh Phangan island is absolutely stunning. The waters are like a magical turquoise dream 🙂 And the yoga shala has a gorgeous view of the blue sea! Huge thanks to my beloved teachers. I highly recommend this course.
